Culture enthusiasts rejoice! The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra launches its 2024/2025 season

The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) has just announced the launch of its 2024/2025 season, which will feature more than 60 concerts.

The new season highlights major performances like Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Verdi’s Requiem, and a special Foundation Day Concert featuring both the MPO and the Malta Youth Orchestra.

The season will also include Chamber Concerts, the Do-Re-Mi series tailored for children, and collaborations with KorMalta and a variety of distinguished soloists. Additionally, the MPO will be part of the prestigious Spoleto Festival, further solidifying its international presence.

The diverse and ambitious program is significant in promoting Malta’s cultural heritage. Vanessa Mangion, the CEO of MPO, emphasised the season's range, blending classical symphony concerts with modern music. She also highlighted the involvement of internationally renowned soloists and conductors, reflecting the orchestra’s dedication to artistic excellence and its growing global reach.

The Malta Youth Orchestra, the MPO’s developmental arm, remains focused on nurturing young talent, offering extensive training and fostering a deep love for music among Malta’s younger generation.
