Cooler days! First days of December forecast to bring Malta a much-awaited temperature drop
Probably won't be a white one, but Malta might be on the way to experiencing a not-so-hot Christmas!

Francesca Vella

While Malta has long abandoned the dream of a white Christmas, the desire for a cooler December remains strong – and it looks like that wish might finally come true! As the final month of the year kicks off on Sunday, Maltese Islands Weather reports that maximum temperatures are expected to drop below 20°C, bringing an end to the t-shirt weather that has lingered on the island for much of the year.

This weekend is also expected to bring some strong winds, with gusts reaching force 6 on Saturday, leading to moderately rough seas and a slight swell. There’s a 45% chance of light rain on both Friday and Saturday, but it seems unlikely that the dramatic thunderstorms seen earlier this month will make a return before December.

As the days progress, evenings will continue to cool, with a real feel minimum temperature of around 10°C early next week, making it feel much more like winter than it has in weeks!

Are you looking forward to finally pulling out some winter jumpers?
