Cooler days ahead? Malta set to see a minimum real feel drop to 11°C towards the end of the week
A mix of mild and cool weather awaits!

The Maltese Islands are in for a mix of mild and cooler weather this week, with significant changes expected as the week progresses. According to popular Facebook page, Maltese Islands Weather, the start of the week will be relatively warm, with temperatures hovering around a comfortable 25°C under partly cloudy skies between Monday 18th to Wednesday 20th.

However, the latter part of the week will bring a noticeable drop in temperatures and an uptick in unsettled conditions. By Thursday 21st, a marked shift will occur as the mercury dips to a daytime high of just 19°C.

The ‘real feel’ temperature is expected to plummet to as low as 11°C due to wind and humidity, making it a particularly chilly day by local standards. Partly cloudy skies will persist throughout the week, but isolated showers are forecast for Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd, so residents and visitors might want to keep an umbrella handy.

Wind conditions are also expected to intensify midweek, adding to the cooler feel. Starting from a moderate Force 3-4 earlier in the week, winds will steadily increase, reaching a brisk Force 6-7 by Friday 22nd. These strong winds will blow predominantly from the northwest, possibly leading to choppy seas and challenging conditions for maritime activities.

The cooling trend and wet weather towards the weekend signals a stark contrast to the relatively warm and calm conditions at the start of the week. The shift underscores the dynamic nature of weather in the Mediterranean during this transitional period of the year.

Whether you're venturing out or staying indoors, it’s best to keep an eye on updates this week as Malta is set to experience a blend of autumnal charm and occasional bluster.

Are you liking the cooler temperatures lately?
