Malta’s national golf team is bringing home the silver medal from this year’s 9th edition of the European team shield Championship, held at Costa Navarino in Greece.

The talented Maltese team consisted of Ruud Critien, Laurens Schulze Doering, Oliver Stuart, Liam Debattista and Andy Borg. They were accompanied by the MGA President, William Beck.

They were competing against ten other European countries including Albania, Andorra, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Georgia, Greece, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Serbia and Ukraine.

This was the third time that Malta progressed into the final. The final match against Greece was a very close one but the Greek came out Victorious.

Nonetheless, the team still made Malta very proud by bringing home the silver medal.

The championship started being organised annually in 2015 and since then Malta’s national golf team have won four bronze medals and four silver medals.
