The production house Focus Features has released the chilling trailer of the documentary thriller ‘Last Breath’, a large portion of which was filmed in Malta.

Based on a true story, ‘Last Breath’ tells the tale of seasoned deep-sea divers as they battle the raging elements to rescue their crew mate trapped hundreds of feet below the ocean's surface after an oil rig accident. Features sweeping scenes of the Maltese seas, this definitely seems like one to catch on the big screen.

Starring Woody Harrelson, known and loved for both his comedic and dramatic performances in ‘Seven Psychopaths’, ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ and ‘True Detective’, ‘Last Breath’ is directed by Alex Parkinson, an Emmy-nominated director, largely known for his work on documentaries such as ‘Lucy, the Human Chimp’.

The film also stars local actor Christian Scicluna and involved several Maltese crew members in the production. Set to be released in theatres at the end of February 2025, the film promises a nail-biting experience as audiences witness the true story of survival.

Are you looking forward to the release of ‘Last Breath’?
