The northern lights have been making an appearance in unexpected areas all over Europe
The glow emanating from the northern lights that were made visible in Italy over the past few days were spotted and captured by the talented Margo Saliba from the salt pans in Xwejni, Gozo.

The phenomenon is very rarely seen from Malta, but last night’s perfect conditions allowed for the stunning images Margo shared on social media, featuring a red glow that wasn’t visible to the naked eye.
