Can you help? Malta’s Victory Kitchen is asking local restaurants to donate extra food
Do you know anyone who can help out?

Are you a restaurant owner or chef? Briju’s Rafel Sammut is asking restaurants to save any extra food that they may have and donate it to the Victory Kitchen to help feed more families during these trying times.

“If you have any excess food that is still in good condition, please DON’T throw it away,” he shares on social media. “Contact me on 9990 6056 we can re-use this for Victory Kitchen – currently feeding just under 2k people a week, and we are expecting this to rise once again.”

“I will be going round to pick up any food early next week, please tag it well with what it is and date of preparation and freeze anything extra,” he asks.

Rafel has been running the Victory Kitchen since last year, around the time when the pandemic hit. VK is all about joining forces “to create a sustainable and long-term plan of delivering food to those families hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.” Since its conception, Malta’s Victory Kitchen has fed 9,603 families and has provided 38,268 meals. And the number keeps growing.

If you can help out in any way, contact Rafel!
