The much-anticipated trailer for ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ has just been released, giving fans an exciting glimpse into the next chapter of the beloved franchise. And Malta features in a couple of shots!

Starring top-notch actors including Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey, and directed by Gareth Edwards, known for ‘Godzilla’, ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ is a standalone sequel to ‘Jurassic World Dominion’ released in 2022. It is the fourth installment in the Jurassic World series and the seventh installment overall in the Jurassic Park film series.

Filming in Malta took place in July 2024, with the scenes out at sea filmed both at the Malta Film Studios in Kalkara, as well as in the actual sea surrounding Malta – an experience that the director described as ‘very difficult’ in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, due to the physically demanding conditions the open sea provided, both for cast and crew.

A few seconds into the trailer, anyone can tell that this one’s going to be filled with the thrills audiences have come to expect from the franchise – definitely one to catch on the big screen this July!
