Bring on the dim sum! 10 spots to get your Chinese food fix in Malta
Will it be sweet and sour pork or lemon chicken? .

Francesca Vella

When you’re in the need of some comfort food, Chinese food hits the spot like few other things do. Although sushi is the Asian dish that gets most of the limelight, sometimes wontons, Peking Duck and Kung Pao Chicken can be just what you need.

The island offers a wide variety of Chinese restaurants, so we asked GuideMeMalta.com readers for their suggestions, and here are the most popular:

Peking

This eatery in Qawra named after their famous Peking duck is one of the best known and loved when it comes to Chinese food. Peking also has an all-you-can-eat offer available everyday – hard to go wrong with that!

Nan Yuan

The Valletta Waterfront provides a whole range of cuisines to choose from, but if you’re craving some good sweet and sour pork, Nan Yuan’s the place to be.

Asian Kingdom

Asian Kingdom can be found in St Julians, Sliema and Buġibba – there to sort you out wherever your Chinese craving might hit!

The Flora – Asian Fusion

Looking to broaden your tastebud’s horizons? The Flora found in Mosta offers Siu Mai – a delectable Cantonese delicacy containing steamed pork seasoned with soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.

The Oriental Garden

If you find yourself in the south of Malta, head to Marsaskala to eat one of the island’s oldest Chinese restaurants. The Oriental Garden has been serving superb Chinese dishes since 1997 and keeps getting it right!

Tora

In contrast, Tora at the Fortina in Sliema has just opened last year and promises a contemporary culinary journey through China.

TemptAsian

TemptAsian is also located in Sliema, with a seaside location for a truly relaxing experience. If you fancy some meat, their beef fillet seems divine!

Pavilion Palace

Pavilion Palace in Pembroke boasts 15 years of experience in serving healthy and delicious Chinese food, recommending their mouthwatering crispy aromatic duck.

Ping’s Dynasty

Your cravings can be satisfied in Gozo too! Head to Ping’s Dynasty in Victoria for some dumplings to start.

FuHua Chinese Cuisine

Also located in Victoria, FuHua offers dine-in, delivery and takeaway of all the much-loved classic Chinese dishes, from seaweed to egg-fried rice, and everything in between.
