Bravi! Malta defeats Israel to secure 17th place in Under-16 Water Polo Championships
32 nations have gathered in Malta to compete in these championships

The Maltese team were victorious in yesterday’s water polo match against Israel in the World Aquatics Under 16 Championships, held at Cottonera Sports Complex, winning the match with a score of 11-8.

The entire team worked hard throughout to secure their victory, with goals scored by Tabone, Cassar, Lanzon, Engerer, Mifsud, and a whopping three goals scored by the man of the match – Shailon Cutajar Casha.

The finals of the championships took place yesterday evening, with the Spanish team taking the first place on the podium.

The Women’s Under 16 team from Malta will be participating in their equivalent of the championships in Manisa, Turkey between the 28th of June and 4th of July, with their starting matches against Spain and Ukraine in Group G - follow their progress on the World Aquatics site.

Congratulations to the Maltese team for their victory in this match!
