Blistering heat returns! Malta to face 40 degrees real feel in another mid-July heatwave
Last year’s heatwave reached its peak at 42.7°C on the 24th of July

Maltese Islands Weather have shared the expected temperatures for the start of next week and they’re scorching! Tuesday will see a climb to a maximum temperature of 37 degrees, with a real feel of 40 degrees.

This will follow a weekend of sunny days, with smooth seas, negligible swell and relatively calm winds not exceeding forces 3-4. So if you were planning on a boat trip, the next few days should provide ideal conditions!

As has become the norm in Maltese summers, the UV index is at an all time high of 10 everyday, so no matter where you are, make sure to apply some sunblock and wear a hat when possible to prevent against heat stress.

Last year’s mid-July provided a record-breaking heatwave between the 16th through to the 25th July, with the maximum temperature across Malta spiking at 42.7°C on the 24th. It remains to be seen whether this year's July will provide similar temperatures.

Are you enjoying the heat that July is bringing?
