If you’re itching to get into the sea for a cool down from the high temperatures of this past week, you’re in for a treat! According to the Maltese Islands Weather page, most beaches around the islands are safe to swim in, thanks to the calm north-westerly winds that should prevail throughout the day.

Here are the recommended bays for today: Mellieħa, Imġiebaħ, Mistra Bay, St. Paul's Bay, Qawra, Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq, St. George's Bay, Sliema, Rinella Bay, Marsaskala, St. Thomas Bay, Ħofriet, Marsaxlokk, Pretty Bay, Wied iż-Żurrieq, Għar Lapsi, Fomm ir-Riħ, Ġnejna Bay, Għajn Tuffieħa, Golden Bay and Anchor Bay are the ones to head to in Malta. In Gozo there’s Wied il-Għasri, Xwejni Bay, Qbajjar, Marsalforn, Ramla l-Ħamra, San Blas Bay, Daħlet Qorrot, Ħondoq ir-Rummien, Mġarr ix-Xini, Xlendi and the Dwejra Inland Sea.

The few beaches to avoid are the ones in the far north of both islands, namely Marfa, Ramla l-Bir, Little Armier and Armier Bay for Malta, and if in Gozo, avoid swimming in Dwejra today. Before you leave for your beach trip, update yourself with any changes on the Maltese Islands weather site.
