Autumn vibes! Forceful winds and cooler weather to hit Malta through the end of the week

Get ready because Malta’s weather is about to take a shift to the cooler side! As the West-Northwest wind strengthens, the weather is ushering in cooler temperatures and scattered showers.

According to the popular Facebook page Maltese Islands Weather, the wind will pick up late on Wednesday, 20th November and persist through Saturday, 23rd November, reaching Force 6 intensity.

This gusty spell marks a change from recent calm weather, as the northwest wind sweeps across the islands. Such winds are typical during this time of year, often bringing a brisk chill and occasionally stirring up the seas, making conditions less favourable for seaside activities.

In fact, the weekend is set to feel distinctly cooler, with temperatures dipping to reflect the late-autumn season. The cooling trend is likely to be welcomed by those who enjoy a break from the warmer months, though it signals the start of heavier clothing and cosy evenings for many.

Alongside the cooler air, some showers are forecast on Thursday, 21st of November. While these are not expected to be widespread or heavy, they may bring localised dampness and slippery roads. Residents are advised to plan accordingly, especially during the morning and evening commutes.

With the wind likely to persist into Saturday, outdoor enthusiasts and boaters should take caution, while the cooler weekend presents a perfect opportunity to embrace indoor activities or enjoy a brisk walk to appreciate the changing weather.

Are you loving these autumnal changes?
