Today, Malta and Gozo woke up to a very unusual summer day. Instead of the typical hot summer weather, the islands experienced cloudy skies and a wet Monday morning.
The rain in Gozo was even worse as it arrived earlier and was quite heavier and more thundery in nature.
However, this untypical summer day is expected to continue later at night as well…
“After this morning's showers, another round of thundery showers will be likely in the evening”, Maltese Islands Weather reported.
The East to East Northeast wind is still quite weak but stronger gusts of wind are probable.
All this instability was caused by a “pool of cold air in the upper levels of the atmosphere”.
