Attention! Gozo Highspeed and Valletta ferry services to Sliema and the Three Cities suspended due to bad weather
Steer clear of sea travels today!

Francesca Vella

Malta woke up to a stormy and grey Monday morning after heavy weather swept in last night, bringing strong ‘grigal’ winds and gloomy skies.

Unfortunately, these rough conditions have led to the suspension of all ferry services from Valletta. This includes the Gozo Highspeed ferry to Mgarr Harbour as well as smaller ferry routes serving Sliema and the Three Cities.

Authorities have yet to announce when these services will resume, so it’s advisable to stay updated if you're planning to travel.

Meanwhile, the Gozo Channel ferry between Cirkewwa and Mgarr is still operating, but delays are possible as operations have shifted to the South Quay due to the harsh weather and rough seas.

Wherever you're headed today, stay safe and plan ahead!
