In a recent article published to the prestigious ‘The New York Times’, food critic Alexander Lobrano, featured the Maltese restaurants ‘Noni’ and ‘Grain Street’, writing nothing but compliments for these two Valletta establishments.

The article, titled Malta, Land of Knights, Sailors and Rainbow Flags mentioned how the Michelin Star restaurant ‘Noni’ served “an intriguingly refined and umami-rich cuisine”.

Alexander Lobrano went on to mention how he visited Grain Street, where he opted for the squid ink lasagna and the Maltese style cooked rabbit before visiting the Phoenicia Hotel’s Club Bar for an amazing cocktail.

He even made the suggestion to his readers to stay at the baroque 16th century mansion Casa Rocca Piccola B&B in Valletta.

The food critic had nothing but positive things to say about Malta as he went around exploring all the great things the island has to offer in anticipation of Valletta hosting its first Europride this September.
