Another heatwave for Malta and Gozo? Anticyclone expected to intensify over the Mediterranean in the coming days
The sun is working overtime this summer!

Last week, Malta and Gozo suffered through one of the worst heatwaves the country had ever experienced but thankfully the last few days saw the return of cooler and more normal summer temperatures.

However, could another heatwave be on the way?...

According to the local weather page ‘Aggornament ta’ Temp’ an anticyclone is set to intensify over the Mediterranean in the coming days.

Thankfully it will not last long and will only bring temperatures that will reach a 37°C as opposed to last week’s temperatures that well went over 40°C.

From the 2nd August, temperatures will return back to normal with temperatures reaching a 33°C high.

Next week, a strong wind force is expected to return from Friday, 4th August which will continue decreasing the temperature even further.
