An honourable gesture! Sliema street to be renamed after the late Robert Arrigo

The Sliema Local Council have taken to their social media to announce that they will be renaming a street after the sadly departed, Robert Arrigo.

The motion was approved unanimously.

This means that Tigne Street, between Censu Scerri and St Anthony Street will now be named Robert Arrigo.  

He was the mayor of Sliema from 1997 to 2003.

Robert Arrigo died after a battle with cancer at the age of 67 on the 18th October, 2022.
