Local vlogger Pierre Farrugia is back with another thrilling adventure, combining kayaking with caving along Malta’s stunning coastline.

In his latest escapade, Pierre launched his kayak from the scenic Ghar Lapsi area, setting his sights on the elusive Wied iz-Zurrieq. His goal was to discover a hidden sea cave, commonly known as Tal-Maqluba, that leads to a secluded beach, a quest that had previously eluded him despite multiple attempts.

After a series of searches and moments of frustration, Pierre’s perseverance paid off. He found himself in a cave that initially seemed unremarkable. However, as he paddled inside, the cave revealed its hidden beauty.

The narrow, winding passages were challenging to navigate, with his paddle barely fitting in some areas. The adventure took a magical turn as he ventured into complete darkness, illuminated only by his powerful headlight. The beam revealed a stunning turquoise sea and a mysterious tunnel ahead.

Pierre offers crucial advice for anyone embarking on similar explorations: always choose a calm sea, inform someone of your plans, and share your GPS location before entering. It's also wise to carry multiple light sources and, if possible, venture with a companion.

As Pierre delved deeper, the cave’s beauty only intensified. Eventually, he discovered a tiny sandy beach, further enhancing the sense of discovery. He also explored a small cave nearby, though it led to a cramped chamber. Satisfied with the exploration, Pierre made his way back to the fresh air, concluding another successful adventure.

Tune in to Pierre’s vlog for breathtaking visuals and insights from his latest journey through Malta’s hidden natural wonders.
