A Mediterranean haven! Exhibition showcasing Gozo’s beauty displayed across Milan
The exhibition was given the name ‘No Woman is an Island’.
Gozo, nestled within the Maltese archipelago, stands as a beacon of authenticity, equilibrium, and nature, making it the perfect destination for women embarking on solo adventures.

This narrative forms the essence of a captivating photography exhibition that was on display at Via Dante in Milan from 6th to the 26th October, 2023.
Having commenced on 6th October along the vibrant Via Dante, just a stone's throw from the Duomo in the heart of Milan, visitors had the chance to explore the exhibition titled, ‘No Woman is an Island’.

Gozo, situated just north of Malta, exudes Mediterranean charm and has been increasingly capturing the imagination of travellers, especially those in search of an authentic destination intertwined with nature.
Accessible via a ferry from the Ċirkewwa port in northern Malta or Valletta's Grand Harbour, Gozo offers tranquil surroundings in harmony with the local way of life. The picturesque landscapes that envelop it, make it a haven for rejuvenation amidst mesmerizing natural beauty. It even has a history spanning over 7,000 years.

The exhibition at Via Dante weaves a two-way journey that unveils the essence of Gozo. Each panel embodies a dual perspective. While one side showcases Gozo's iconic attractions through panoramic imagery, the other side narrates a hypothetical solo female voyage. The protagonist embarks on a personal odyssey that draws her closer to the island's heart, unveiling its most evocative and spiritual aspects. The depicted woman is a symbol of strength and independence. She is a fearless traveller, venturing alone to Gozo, a destination that promises profound emotions, fresh discoveries, and experiences deeply rooted in the local heritage, culture, and people. Gozo is depicted as a secure haven, brimming with opportunities and mystical allure.
To add a digital dimension to the experience, the panels featured QR codes that allow visitors to access an online form and receive a digital booklet containing photos from the exhibition.
The captivating photo exhibition was meticulously curated by VisitMalta Italia, Malta's tourism promotion agency in Italy, in cooperation with VisitGozo.
