The National Archives of Malta have recently shared, on their social media, an interesting throwback photo that offers a glimpse into the past. The image showcases a fascinating array of motor cars, with a bonus appearance of the rear of a bus on the far right.

One notable detail is the gentleman standing up in the car, possibly the driver in uniform, sporting a cap.

Observant viewers will also spot the letter "I" on the car's registration plate. It is interesting to note that during that time, letters indicated the Police division the owner belonged to. The presence of the letter "I" suggests that the car was either based in Sliema (pre-1926) or Naxxar (1926 onwards).

Did you know about this intriguing fact?
