A day of enchantment at the Mdina Cathedral and Museums awaits as these two historical places in Malta open their doors for a captivating journey through time on Saturday, the 25th of November, from 10 am to 4 pm.

This free event invites visitors to explore the rich cultural heritage nestled within the walls of the Mdina Metropolitan Cathedral and Cathedral Museum.

Visitors can expect a day filled with discovery, guided tours offering historical insights, and artistic appreciation. You will get to explore every corner of the Cathedral and Museum, witness history come alive with medieval reenactors and indulge in local talents at the Artisans Market.

You will also get the opportunity to immerse yourself in the fourth edition of the APS Mdina Cathedral Contemporary Art Biennale, centred around the theme 'Mediterranean Goddesses,' delving into mythological and spiritual deities.

Exploring the Baroque masterpiece of the Mdina Cathedral Museum is a magnificent gesture in itself as you will get to witness artworks and historical treasures since the early 1700s. View the Baroque reconstruction of the Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Paul, dedicated to St. Paul the Apostle, by Maltese architect Lorenzo Gafà between 1696 and 1705.

This open day will allow you exclusive access to the latest museum halls and the underground basement revealing Roman ruins.

It’s time to celebrate the richness of Mdina's cultural heritage.
