A clean home for Gozo’s ducks! Volunteers collect rubbish from Marsalforn Valley
Well done to the volunteer team at The Cast Out Project!

Local environmental volunteer group ‘The Cast Out Project: Gozo & Malta’ have provided a much cleaner environment for the ducks at Gozo’s Marsalforn valley after their recent clean up.

During the clean up, they collected seven huge sacks of micro plastics that were polluting this valley.

This will stop such rubbish from drifting away to sea while also preventing the local wildlife such as ducks living in the valley from chocking on it.

The valley was full of all kinds of waste, from micro plastic to the dumping of larger pieces of waste such as restaurant tables. This was leaving quite the eye sore but it was also a horrible home for the ducks living there.

Thankfully, it is now looking much better and hopefully it stays that way.
