After days of sweltering temperatures and scorching sun, Malta's relentless heatwave is finally set to ease its grip on Wednesday, 26th July. Locals and tourists alike can heave a collective sigh of relief as the island nation anticipates a much-needed respite from the extreme heat.

In fact, according to Malta’s International Airport weather, it’s looking like we might be getting a windy day on Wednesday which will further ease the heat. While temperatures will feel like 37°C, the wind is expected to blow between Force 5 and 6 which is, literally, a breath of fresh air!

The heatwave, which has been gripping the Mediterranean archipelago for the past week, has seen temperatures soaring to possible record-breaking levels, with Monday 24th July and Tuesday 25th July, reaching the climax temperatures of 43°C.

As the heatwave dissipates, Malta can expect cooler breezes and a decrease in temperatures with Thursday looking so much cooler, with temperatures feeling like 31°C.

While we’re quite sure that this will not be our last heatwave of the summer, we’re looking forward to cooler temperatures, even if it’s just for a few days!

Have you had enough of the heat?
