A mixed bag of weather conditions is expected this week!

As Malta braces for the week ahead, a noticeable warming trend is expected to grace the island, offering a reprieve from the winter chill that we experienced last week.

According to popular Facebook page, Temp Madwarna, two low pressures passing over Italy will contribute to locally warmer weather than the previous week. The forecast unveils a mixed bag of atmospheric conditions, ranging from partly cloudy skies to moments of rain.

Beginning with a breezy Monday, the weather transitions into a chance of morning rain on Tuesday 16th January, giving way to sunny intervals. Midweek, the island is expected to experience pleasant conditions with various high clouds and above-average temperatures for January.

However, the weekend is forecasted to bring a temperature dip alongside a potential for light rain.

Winds play a dynamic role in the weather narrative, starting strong on Monday with occasional gusts from the West-South-West. Subsequent days witness fluctuating wind strengths, ranging from moderate to light, with directional shifts as the week progresses.

Temperature-wise, a noteworthy rise is anticipated, reaching highs between 18°C and 20°C, exceeding the seasonal norm by 4°C in the middle of the week.

It looks like we’re getting both winter and spring conditions this week!
