600kg of waste removed! Divers, snorkellers and kayakers unite during Paradise Bay clean-up
A true example of community collaboration!

Lyndsey Grima

A remarkable effort by Coast is Clear was witnessed at Paradise Bay as 600 kilograms of plastics, ropes, fishing debris, and metals were successfully cleared from its pristine waters during a recent community clean-up event.

This event united individuals from various organisations and entities, all with a common goal – to preserve and protect the natural beauty of this picturesque location.

Divers, snorkellers, and kayakers joined forces in perfect coordination, ensuring the removal of debris from the seabed. Divers retrieved the waste, snorkellers helped transport it, and kayakers loaded their vessels with the collected materials, which were then delivered to dedicated volunteers on land.

This impressive teamwork not only cleaned up the bay but also highlighted the power of community collaboration.

This collective effort serves as a shining example of how a united community can make a positive impact on the environment, ensuring that Paradise Bay remains a true haven for both nature enthusiasts and future generations.

Well done to all those involved!
