Xerri l-Bukkett, the restaurant-cum-bar-cum-bocci club, is located in Qala and, from a high vantage point, overlooks both Comino and Malta, at an angle with which we don’t usually see. With its good food, beautiful views, and typical Gozitan charm, it is one big reason to go up to Gozo for the day.
Painted in sky blue, this retro eatery in Ghar Lapsi, unsurprisingly, is a popular option for lunch with a view. Ta Rita has a varied menu and is located in an area from which you can observe Filfla from its large glass windows, whilst enjoying your meal.

There are tons of restaurants around the grid-like city of Valletta. However, despite it being a peninsula, a minority offer a view of the Mediterranean blue waters. One of the lucky few is The Harbour Club, a sweet little space, close to Valletta’s majestic Victoria Gate. The quality dishes can be enjoyed while savouring the sight of the pretty three cities: Vittoriosa, Cottonera, and Cospicua.
Not all views need to include an element of the sea or the countryside to be considered picturesque. Chukkas provides a different type of sight - the Marsa racing track. Here, you can watch horse race practice and experience a lesser-known aspect of Maltese culture, which, undoubtedly, makes for a unique lunch outing.
Located on the popular sandy beach, Ghadira, Munchies offers views of the Mediterranean Sea while keeping you warmly sheltered inside. In the winter months, when the beach is empty, this truly proves to be a calming view.
