Minister for Home Affairs, National Security and Law Enforcement Byron Camilleri has just announced a new fine for people caught out in public in groups larger than three. Earlier, groups of five or smaller had been allowed to meet but new measures are being put in place to deter those who disrespect health directives.

The fine sets groups back a € 100 per person, meaning if four people are found outside together the total fine incurred would be €400.

Minister Camilleri also announced that the cavalry and police dogs will be recruited to help disperse people who continue venturing outside for leisurely outings in rural areas despite health directives urging people to keep indoors.

This was announced in a press conference which was still ongoing at the time of writing.
