The Italian singer, Gianni Morandi has posted a picture of himself to his 3.2 million followers on Facebook as he admires the beauty of the Caravaggio painting depicting the decapitation of St John.

This great piece of art is found in none other than in St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta.

“In the enchanting St. John Cathedral, the great work of Caravaggio”, he wrote.

“You can't come to Malta without seeing it”, Gianni continued.

Gianni Morandi just performed in Malta last Saturday, 12th August at Fort Manoel on the Manoel Island.

This was not his first time in Malta, having visited the islands just four years ago, in 2019.
