Wow! New stunning set of Malta’s traditional ‘ganutell’ displayed for the ‘Madonna tac-Cintura’ Qormi feast
'Ganutell' is an amazingly meticulous form of art.

The brotherhood of the Madonna tac-Cintura at the St George Collegiate in Qormi uploaded some amazing photos of the new ganuntell they debuted for this week’s feast.

The colourful decorations are absolutely stunning and perfectly compliment the beauty of the statue they are decorating.

Ganutell is a traditional Maltese art form that involves using fine wires, threads and beads to form the impressive flower decorations you can see in the photo.

Such a practice takes hours of detailed and meticulous work, making ganutell one of Malta’s most beloved art forms.

You can go and appreciate the beauty of the ganutell at this Saturday's Qormi’s Madonna taċ-Ċintura feast.

The feast might be smaller when compared to the main St George and St Sebestian feasts that take place earlier in the summer, but it is still very much worth attending.
