Get ready for a breezier weekend! After days of sticky humidity and southerly winds, the weather is about to shift, with northwesterly winds moving in tonight (Friday).
For many, this change will be a welcome relief from the humid heat, but if you were planning a day out at sea, you might want to rethink your plans.
According to forecasts, winds will pick up on Saturday, reaching force 6 later in the day. By Sunday, conditions are expected to ease slightly, with calmer winds in the morning that weaken further into the evening.
Of course, with stronger winds come rougher seas. The second half of Saturday and the first half of Sunday will see choppier waters, so swimmers, divers, and especially those heading out in small boats should exercise caution.
The upside to the winds is lower humidity levels! Thanks to the stronger winds, real feel temperatures will drop slightly, with highs of 35°C on Saturday and 34°C on Sunday. But don’t get too comfortable! By mid-next week, once the winds subside, temperatures are forecast to climb again, peaking at a sizzling 38°C by Thursday.
Are you welcoming the breeze or missing the calm seas?
