White Tower Bay is now significantly cleaner thanks to the efforts of Żibel's dedicated volunteers, who joined forces last Saturday for a successful June clean-up.

The event, supported by Saving Our Blue, the Ministry for the Environment, Energy, and Enterprise, and ERA, saw volunteers working tirelessly to restore the natural beauty of the bay.

The clean-up resulted in the collection of various types of waste, including 48.60 kg of plastic, 37.56 kg of ropes and fishing gear, 5.40 kg of glass, 199.08 kg of metal, and 174.00 kg of mixed waste.

In total, an impressive 464.98 kg of waste was removed from White Tower Bay, making a significant impact on the local environment.

This substantial clean-up effort highlights the critical role of community involvement in environmental conservation and the effectiveness of collective action in tackling pollution.

Żibel, a volunteer organization committed to environmental preservation, continues to make strides in cleaning Malta's coastlines. Their ongoing initiatives not only improve the aesthetic appeal of these areas but also contribute to the health and sustainability of marine ecosystems.

Well done to all those involved!
