Well done! Sta Lucia School breaks Maltese record with Pink October biscuits
The students made 580 biscuits in the shape of a ribbon

The month of October is known to be globally synonymous with activities that help raise awareness about breast cancer, often referred to as Pink October. In the spirit of this event, the KTI students at Santa Lucia secondary school came up with an activity in which they would sell biscuits in the shape of the pink ribbon, raising funds for the cause, while also managing to set a national record, having made 580 biscuits!

This activity is part of the King’s Trust International (KTI) curriculum, a programme designed with the aim of helping students prepare themselves for life. During the lessons, the students created a small enterprise called ‘Cookies and Ribbons’, prepared a poster for this activity and started preparing the biscuits.

The Malta Records visited the school yesterday to present them with the national record for the largest number of biscuits in the form of a ribbon, a symbol for breast cancer awareness.

Congratulations to the school on this initiative!
