Well done! 11-year-old Maltese driver wins at final round of ‘Coppa Italia di Zona’ in Melilli
The young driver is making waves in the motorsport world!

Zane Pace celebrated an incredible achievement at the eighth and final round of the Coppa Italia di Zona, the karting championships held at Pista del Sole in Mellili, Sicily, which concluded on Sunday.

Through his dedication and hard work this season, the young driver secured first place in the ‘GR3’ class of the overall championship. He also topped the rankings in the Regional Track Championship out of 168 drivers and achieved an impressive fifth place in the Karting Championship in Sicily, competing against 331 drivers.

Throughout the championships, Zane Pace delivered standout performances, securing pole position with a best time of 48.661 seconds, setting the fastest pre-final lap at 49.087 seconds, and recording the best lap in the final at 49.353 seconds. Despite suffering a collision that damaged his kart during the final race, he maintained his lead and posted the fastest lap.

In a social media post, Zane Pace reflected on the various challenging track conditions, ranging from wet and rainy to hot, humid, and windy, which kept his team on edge leading up to race day.

He expressed heartfelt gratitude to his family for their unwavering support and shared his excitement for future challenges and opportunities ahead.
