In addition to her success in the 800-meter event, Sasha’s stellar performance led to another milestone: she set a new National Short Course Record in the 400-meter freestyle. Her time in this event earned her a “B Qualifying Time” for the World Aquatics Short Course Swimming Championships, which will be held in Budapest, Hungary, later this year.

The young athlete shared her excitement on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the unwavering support of her family, coach Ioan Catalin Stan, the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta, the Maltese Olympic Committee, and her sponsor, Eurosport. She also thanked her club, Sliema ASC Panta Swimming, for their continuous encouragement and dedication.

With these recent accomplishments, Sasha accumulated 781 FINA points.

Well done, Sasha!
