Frank Magri, the French player who has Maltese ancestry has scored the winning goal during yesterday’s UEFA Europa League between Toulouse FC and Liverpool FC.

At the 76th minute, Toulouse were winning with a score of 2-1 before Frank Magri scored the team’s third goal with an assist from Gabriel Sauzo.

He had had just entered the game as a substitute six minutes beforehand.

Liverpool’s Diogo Jota scored another goal in the 89th minute, yet Toulouse still won the game 3-2.

The 24-year-old player, Frank Magri has been on the Malta Football Association’s radar, and he soon might be called up with Malta’s national team.

He however is also eligible to play for both the French and Cameroonian national teams since he has a Cameroonian mother and holds both citizenships. In fact, he has already played one friendly game for the Cameroonian national team but is still eligible to be called up by Malta’s national team.
