WATCH: Back into the wild! Three rescued turtles released back home at Golden Bay
Safe travels!

Emma Galea

Golden Bay witnessed the return of not one but three turtles back into the wild after they were rescued and made a full recovery.

The first turtle was named Daniel, and he was found near Filfa, floating after he ingested a worrisome number of plastics.

Licia was unfortunately also found with loads of plastic in her stomach but has now made a full recovery. Fingers crossed that she does not come across any more plastic!

Poseidon was heavily injured as he was hit with a boat propeller. His shell was broken in three different places and this unfortunately affected his nervous system.

Thankfully they have all been released back into their natural habitats and homes. Here’s to hoping they have a much safer journey this time around!
