WATCH: Animation video technology gives life to old photos of Malta throughout history
A realistic glimpse of Malta’s live history!

A video uploaded by ‘Live Lee content’ to the Facebook nostalgia group ‘Malta Lura fil- Passat’ shows Malta during its different periods of history in a way like you’ve never seen before!

Although a good number of photos of Malta and the Maltese way of life have been taken throughout the islands’ history, video footage is quite a bit more scarce.

However, thanks to ‘Live Lee content’ we can now see what a few of Malta's photos throughout the ages would look like if a video had been taken instead.

By using animation technology, the photos were colourised and one can see the many figures and elements within the photo moving - as if it was real footage!

The first photo originally depicts a sea plane alongside Malta’s shore, but one can now see it about to take off as people move around it. The second photo shows Maltese people moving around a war-torn Valletta while the third photo depicts people coming in and out of the old Valletta gate.

Absolutely incredible!
