Two golds and two silvers! Maltese weightlifters impress at London Crystal Palace competition
An amazing achievement for these athletes in London!

Over the weekend, the young Malta Weightlifting Association athletes showcased outstanding performances while competing at London Crystal Palace.

They came back home, with two gold medals and three silver medals!

Tenishia Thornton (18) secured first place with a total of 187kg, followed by Kim Camilleri Lagana (15) who brought home the silver after managing to lift 134kg. They both went up against many athletes from England and still won.

Rylee Borg (17) followed Tenishia’s footsteps and also secured first place in his category. Borg also set the Maltese national records in the men's open, lifting 250kg in the 89kg category.

Aaliyah Gatt (15) impressed, securing second place with a total of 136kg which also happens to be a personal best.
