Maltese authorities have added another two countries to Malta’s amber travel list that imposes restrictions on travel to the islands. Coming into effect from Friday 28th August at midnight, the following countries are officially on the list:
1. Bulgaria
2. Romania
3. Czech Republic
4. Spain – Barcelona, Girona and Madrid
5. Tunisia
This means that travellers coming from these destinations will have to present a certificate showing a negative test result of a Polymerase Chain Reaction test that would have been carried out not more than 72 hours in advance. Those who do not present this will have to undergo testing at the airport and may be asked to quarantine.
