Representatives from all these countries will be meeting on the Maltese islands to discuss the importance of cinematic collaboration regarding the Mediterranean world.

The event will be taking place mainly in the capital city of Valletta but will also include other activities organised throughout different places in Malta.

International producers together with directors as well as representatives from the Mediterranean Film Commission, the British Film Commission and Hollywood Studios will all be in attendance.

The festival will also be an opportunity to educate the future generation of Malta as summer film camp will be organised for kids between 10 to 11 years old.

Additionally, a €100,000 grant will also be given to provide emergent film makers with the necessary resources to make their short films.

The Malta Film Commission also has plans to set up a helpdesk to assist local filmmakers in applying for EU and bank grants, in order to encourage more filmmakers to go out there and make their films.
