Sweater weather? Malta registers its coldest night in 98 days after rain and thunderstorm

Autumn and cold weather lovers will be happy to hear that Malta registered its coldest temperature in 98 days during last night's thunderstorm.

According to the local weather page, ‘Temp Madwarna’ the temperature fell as low as 17°C. This was the first time it fell under 20°C for over three months.

A total of 10mm of rain was registered in the zones across the island that were hit the most by the storm.

There is also a chance of a possible thunderstorm today Tuesday, 26th September and Wednesday, 27th September. Temperatures are expected to fall as low as 19°C and 21°C respectively.
