Runner Jordan Gusman achieves Malta’s first win at European Athletics Team Championships in Poland
He competed in 5000m event.

The Maltese runner Jordan Gusman has brought Malta its first win at this years European Athletics Team Championships in Poland.

Jordan managed to finish the 5000metre race with a time of 14’16’92, securing his first-place position!

Georgia’s and Israel’s runner followed soon after, achieving second and third place respectively.

Team Malta has been achieving incredible results during the past few days in Poland, with Janet Richard coming in second place and breaking the national record during the 400metres race last Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Gina Mcnamara scored Malta another second place during the 800metre while the men's 4x100m relay team, comprised of Luke Bezzina, Omar El Aida Chaffey, Beppe Grillo, and Graham Pellegrini clinched a commendable third place.

Well done Team Malta!
