Rough seas disrupt travel! Gozo Highspeed & ferry services suspended, Gozo Channel delayed
Windy weather = travel delays!

Francesca Vella

Carnival celebrations may have escaped heavy rain, but powerful winds have been whipping across the islands, turning the seas rough and causing major travel disruptions. If you're planning to travel by ferry today, be prepared for cancellations and delays!

Gozo Highspeed had to cancel its evening trips yesterday, and this morning’s (Monday, 3rd March) trips have also been called off. Travellers have been advised to check the service’s social media for afternoon updates.

The ferry services from Valletta taking passengers to the Three Cities and to Sliema have also both been suspended for today.

Finally, the Gozo Channel, while still operational, is being diverted to Cirkewwa South Quay, causing possible delays in service. If you’re heading back from Gozo’s Carnival, make sure to plan ahead and stay updated for further changes!

Are you trying to make it home to Malta from Gozo?
