Ready for a pre-weekend dip? Here are the recommended bays around the Maltese Islands today
Avoid beaches on the north-west side of the islands today

Although there’s still a week left before summer officially starts, the recent temperatures have definitely made it warm enough for a swim.

Today, the page ‘Maltese Islands Weather’ recommends beaches mostly towards the south-east of both Malta and Gozo. The recommended beaches in the south of Malta are Pretty Bay, St Thomas Bay, Rinella Bay, Marsaxlokk, Ħofriet, Wied iż-Żurrieq and Għar Lapsi.

If you find yourself in the north of Malta today, Għadira Bay in Mellieħa is the place to swim.

If you’re in Gozo, head to the Dwejra Inland Sea, Xlendi, Mġarr ix-Xini or Ħondoq ir-Rummien.

Beaches to be avoided are Marfa, Ramla l-Bir, Armier, Imġiebaħ, Mistra Bay, St. Paul's Bay, Qawra, Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq, St. George's Bay, Sliema, Fomm ir-Riħ, Ġnejna Bay, Għajn Tuffieħa, Golden Bay, Anchor Bay, Paradise Bay, Wied il-Għasri, Xwejni Bay, Qbajjar, Marsalforn, Ramla l-Ħamra, San Blas Bay and Daħlet Qorrot.

The beach situation changes when the weather does, so check back to the Maltese Islands Weather site for updates before you go!

Will you be going for a swim this weekend?
