Want to infuse your public holiday with some culture?

You might be aware that 2026’s first public holiday is coming up in a few weeks – for history enthusiasts it’s going to be providing an extra treat, as the Feast of St Paul celebrated on the 10th of February will be providing the opportunity to visit San Pawl Milqi – a site in Burmarrad that is usually closed to the public. The site is traditionally believed to be the place where St Paul was hosted during his visit to Malta around A.D. 60, giving the site its name.

This rare opportunity to visit the historic site includes the celebration of a Mass in Maltese at 10 AM and two guided tours delving into its archaeological and religious significance. The Maltese tour begins at 9 AM, followed by the English tour at 11 AM. Attendance is free, but as spaces for each tour are limited, pre-booking is essential to secure a spot.

Have you ever visited San Pawl Milqi?
