Over 15,000 people have signed a petition to keep access to Ahrax and Mizieb open to the public, Spazji Miftuha notes on Facebook.

“55 groups from civil society including various associations, a media organisation and tens of NGOs from various fields have endorsed Spazji Miftuħa.”

“Why is it being said that Aħrax and Miżieb will be closed off for nine months in a year?” Spazji Miftuha said in a previous post. “Many are unaware that the proposal about Aħrax and Miżieb also includes the rabbit hunting season.” This is what will result in the area being closed off for nine months of the year as Autumn, Spring and Rabbit hunting seasons are five months, three weeks and three months long, respectively.

Don’t agree with the proposal? Sign the petition here.
