While the Valletta and Mellieha outlets are not yet open, rumour has it that a third location is already being talked about...
Once Starbucks announced they'll be hitting the Maltese streets, everyone went WILD. The first location for Starbucks Malta that was revealed was the Valletta Waterfront, and we’re super happy that we’ve FINALLY got an easy way to get our Starbucks fix.
And while the outlet hasn't opened yet, Malcolm Saliba, General Manager of db, the company that brought the international coffee brand to our islands, said that “the launch date of the Valletta outlet will be released tomorrow,” but everything is still very tight-lipped.
Mr Saliba also confirmed that Starbucks Malta will have a second location at Ghadira Bay in Mellieha, right by the water’s edge. I can just picture it now: the sounds of waves rolling up to the shore, the gorgeous blue skies, a cup of iced coffee in one hand and a good book in the other. Yes, please!
But that's not all. The latest rumour is that Starbucks Malta is opening a third location too! While Mr Saliba said there is “no other location confirmed yet,” we’re still hoping for another Starbucks Malta outlet soon... and here are our suggestions!
1. Sliema is a fab location and a prime spot for a popular coffee brand. The tourist and business hub is the perfect location for another Starbucks Malta shop.
2. Bugibba would be great too. After a fabulous swim and some tan time, you can step into the cool air-conditioned coffee shop for a sweet treat and a latte. #Heaven.
3. Marsascala is another awesome spot. The southern town is bustling with life and a Starbucks shop will definitely be a hit!
