The first week of July is looking windy though!

If you’re wondering what the weather is going to be like this weekend, look no further! According to the popular Facebook page, Maltese Islands Weather, a ridge of high pressure will dominate the weather for the final weekend of June and the first day of July, bringing sunny, though occasionally hazy, skies.

This means that you can expect light winds and hot temperatures ranging from 33°C to 36°C during the day and a warm 24°C to 25°C at night. In fact, the real feel temperature for the entire weekend will be around 36°C, culminating at 37°C on Monday 1st of July.

Wind will almost be non-existent this weekend as we’re looking at Force 1-2 for the entire weekend. However, this stable weather pattern is set to change as we move into July.

From dawn on Tuesday, 2nd July, to late Thursday, 4th July, a zone of instability will shift the weather dynamics significantly. During this period, strong winds from the Northwest, reaching Force 6 to 7, will sweep through the region. These winds will usher in cooler temperatures, with daytime highs dropping to 28°C to 29°C and nighttime lows between 20°C and 21°C.

This brief spell of cooler, windier weather will conclude by Friday, 5th July, when typical summer conditions are expected to return.

The transition back to more stable and warmer weather marks a quick recovery, ensuring that the sunny and hot conditions synonymous with summer will resume.

So, expect a mix of hot sunny days and a refreshing break with cooler winds in the next couple of days!

Are you looking forward to the month of July?
