Malta’s national rugby team have just made their country very proud after beating Bulgaria 78-0, winning the Medieval Shield.

The game for this international title was played at the Marsa Rugby Ground, where history was made.

Jarrod Sammut was the star player of the game having scored a good number of the points at the game.

He in fact will soon be leaving Malta to play for his team, Barrow Raiders for the York City Knights championship. Best of luck Jarrod!

This was not the first time Malta beat Bulgaria. They had won last year 50-6 in a game that took place in Sofia, Bulgaria.
